Frequently Asked Questions

A slipstream is the area behind a moving object where there is less wind resistance. In cycling, by riding behind another person, you can save ~40% of the energy you’d otherwise use riding alone. And in your financial life, it can be easier to work with someone else than try to figure things out on your own.

I started Slipstream to build long-term relationships with clients and make a difference in people’s lives. I keep my number of clients manageable so that I can give every client the focus and attention they deserve.

Many advisors charge only based on Assets Under Management. Others offer “advice only” and won’t open any accounts for you. I believe offering both gives the client the most flexibility and doesn’t lock in any one model that may not work down the road.

Yes, I am a fiduciary, which means I am legally and ethically bound to act in your best interest. Because of this, my recommendations to you have to be more than just “suitable” for you — they are what I think is the best option for you given your circumstances.
-
No. You can work with me on an “advice only” plan, where you pay me for financial advice and your accounts stay where they are. There will never be any pressure to open a Slipstream account or transfer assets, though that option will remain open to you in the future.
-
Your Slipstream accounts will be at Altruist, a modern platform I partner with for asset management and custody. You will be able to access your accounts directly through the Altruist website or mobile app.

You can cancel at any time. There is no lock-in or long-term commitment.
